Challenges Your limits

There are stories all over the world where people have set a record of completing their doctorate at the age of 50, running a marathon at the age of 100, starting a new business at the age of 70, becoming a millionaire while still a teenager, and so on. Don’t get trapped into the limits that are set by the society that you have to do this and that. Make your own game and your own rules. It might sound cliché, but it is actually the truth. What works for me might not work for you. We are all different people, and we have to understand our true strength and passion for creating our own life and writing our own destiny. It is rightly said that if a fish is judged by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid. We all have a purpose and passion in life, and you need to find and define it.

Condition your mind to think big and don’t get influenced by the limits you’ve heard of and seen over the years. Think so big that it starts to scare you. It might seem crazy to others and maybe even to you, but everything is possible if you work passionately and dedicatedly towards it. Don’t give excuses that you cannot do this because of that, and you cannot do that because of whatever. Understand that while you read this, someone out there is setting a new record in something. Someone is climbing the Mt. Everest with a prosthetic leg, someone just found a company from his garage, someone got married at the age of 70, someone just beat a supercomputer in the game of chess, someone broke out of an unhappy marriage, and so on, and the list is endless. Challenges limit you only when you allow it to.

Take control of your life because it is your life, and it is only you who will dictate the terms in which you want to spend it. Whether it is business, career, family, education, or just about anything, don’t let others tell you what you can or cannot do. You will face challenges when you go your own way, but it is worth the risk. Don’t be afraid of challenges or failures because you either win or you learn. Keep on pushing yourself beyond what you think you’re capable of. It will help you to discover your new strengths in life continually. It is this ability to neither stop nor be afraid is what will take you places.
